Palmöl - eins der am emotionalsten und hitzigsten diskutierten Themen. „Es gibt kein nachhaltiges Palmöl“ sagen viele Stimmen. Ich bin anderer Meinung.

Well, why don’t we just apologize? Harriet Lerner writes: “The healing power of a good apology is immediately recognizable. When someone offers me a genuine apology I feel relieved and soothed. Whatever anger and resentment I may still be harboring melts away. I also feel better when I offer an apology I know is due. I’m enormously grateful that I can repair disconnection after having made a mistake or acted badly.” Learning to apologize and not get defensive when our ego is hurt is one of the most difficult learnings of growing older and wiser, at least that’s what I feel like. What do you think?

PS: little side note, I encourage you to buy books in your local book store. Most book stores can order books for you within 1 or 2 days, which might be even faster than amazon. Also (at least over Herr in Austria) there’s a law that makes books equally expensive online and offline - so you’re not even saving money ordering them online. And if you buy them online: try websites for used books (I have some of them on my link list on my website)
The best thing about coming home. Always. 🐶💕 #adoptdontshop
Experts who polled 1,000 dog and cat owners over the age of 55, and 1,000 adults of the same age without a pet, found those with aninal companionships were twice as likely to consider themselves a success. In addition, pet owners are more likely to be married, have a child, bag themselves a university degree and have found their perfect job (of course these aren’t the only measures for happiness 😅). Pet owners also do almost double the amount of exercise – raising their heart rate five times a week compared to just three times for non-pet owners. The study revealed owners of cats and dogs are more likely to volunteer for a charity, and go on a dream holiday. 🐶🐱 (Source: The Independent)
I would lie if I would claim that there’s no dog treat in my pocket 😛 bought myself these dungarees and I love them (not sponsored). They’re a dream of organic cotton and their slogan is my slogan: if it’s not comfortable, why wear it? 🐛 #ethicalfashion #fairfashionootd #adoptdontshop
We feed half of all grains produced to animals that then are eaten, yet poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year which equals to around 6 children per minute. We need to understand: animal agriculture and therefor animal based products play a huge role in the unfair distribution of resources and suffering of those in the global south. By reducing the demand of animal based products we could thrive for a system that is more equal and also ecological. #socialjustice #worldhunger #livestock (Sources: WHO & FAO)
